YorHa unit: 2B
2B a YorHa unit type battilion. She is more offensive than her partner, 9S. Her mission is bring an end to the alien lifeforms that have taken over the earth. She is more serious than other types.

YorHa unit: 9S
9S is a YorHa unit type scanner. He is less offensive than other YorHa units. His main use is that he finds and analyzes data rather purely combat like his companion 2B. He is more analytical than other types.
"The Commander, Me.. 2B? Sacrificial lambs. All of us. Isn't that HILARIOUS?"
Yorha unit: A2
A2 is a special type of YorHa unit, shes a rouge older version of a YorHa unit. She shares ties with 2B, and knows about a secret that changes 9S' outlook of YorHa, The Council of Humanity, and the "humans" on the Moon.

Adam
Adam is the brother of Eve, and is a strange YorHa unit. He was born practically out of the android lifeforms and represents a YorHa unit.
"Machines are weapons capable of evolution. We can grow, we can become aware"
Eve
Eve, the brother of Adam. He was born from a part of his brother Adam. Eventually Adam is killed off by 2B and 9S which causes Eve to go berserk and attack YorHa units 2B and 9S.
"My name? This book says it's a woman's name. Shouldn't we be called Cain and Abel or something?"
Devola and Popola
These two get a special section as they are not part of the main game entirely and are actually apart of another game called "Nier" which takes place in a different time. Both are sisters who worked as merchents in the past they showed up to defend 9S from an attack in order for him to find out the truth of this world.
